Snow in Farnham

Snow in Farnham

Well its been a strange month. At the beginning of the month here in Surrey we had the heaviest snowfall for about ten years. Usually we get a covering of less than a centimeter which disappears in a few hours. This year, on the 2nd we had well over 30cm. Of course we weren’t prepared despite the warnings and everything ground to a halt. I couldn’t get into work along with thousands of others. The kids loved it of course, building snowmen, sledging etc etc.

I managed to get to work the next day, but a week later there was still snow around on the ground.

Then we had a week or so of fairly bland boring weather but much warmer, and now some of the spring bulbs are starting to appear.

Yesterday was the warmest of the year so far with temperatures up to 14C and lovely sunshine, I was on a day off and was even driving round with the roof down on the car.

Well I suppose I’d better get on with some gardening before the frost returns as it is supposed to later next week.

Nothing so strange as british weather.
